Mulan Inspired

Next up in my Disney Princess Series is Mulan. I love the movie Mulan. Can I have a dragon like mushu? <3 Who says girls cant kick some butt??

The colors I used were inspired by the picture above. I did some geisha pics during Halloween but the white makeup I used was awful and so my pictures didnt come out that great. I actually did this look back in September but never posted for some reason. I actually had to swatch my elf palette to know what colors I even used. The yellow in my waterline looks awful, sorry about that. (I didnt have a good yellow in my collection at the time.)

Ever wondered how pigmented the ELF 100 Pc Palette was?? These are swatched dry on my arm. Just rubbed my fingers slightly on colors for these quick swatches.

ELF Eye Look - Ravenclaw (Harry Potter)

Round 2.. *teehee* I did a Ravenclaw look today using my 100 pc Elf Palette again. I'm not sure if i will be able to do the other 2 with this palette, but i will try. The colors of Ravenclaw is Blue and Black. I guess i could have done a bird look, since i did a snake for slytherin, but i didnt. I guess maybe i could try one out but as I've mentioned many times before my artistic skills are limited. :) I wore this look today for work but I changed it for the blog post because a blue i was using didnt work very well. I wish my make up looked the same in pictures as it does in person. Has anybody notice that their makeup can look good in person but cant capture it right on camera?? Maybe its just me.. I even tried taking pics outside but the pictures were even fuzzier outside.

My skin looks blah.. sorry.. :/

Items Used:

*NYX Jumbo Pencil Milk

*ELF 100 Pc Palette

*TBN Blanc

*ELF Studio Cream Liner in Black

*Then applied NYX Milk to lid and crease, smoothing it out with finger.

*Applied TBN Blanc to inner corner.

*Blend

*Next I applied the sparkly black to crease.

ELF Eye Look - Slytherin (Harry Potter)

So.. I was trying to do a hunger games look over and over but was failing miserably. I then remembered seeing a pic recently from Unique Desire. She had done some Hogwarts Houses looks. I decided to do a Slytherin using my ELF 100 Pc palette. I like doing looks using products that more people are able to afford. This elf palette retails for $10. Not bad for 100 different colors. I just bought tonight the BH Cosmetics 120 Palette 2nd Edition for $18. Which is $8 more for 20 more shadows. The elf palette is good for those just starting out. I wanted the BH palette because im looking for more yellows and oranges. I really want the Sugar Pill Burning Heart Palette but its out of my budget at this time. Its $34.99 for 4 shadows.

Anyways...

So the colors of Slytherin House are Green and Silver. I had an idea of doing a snake like for eye liner, but when i did the snake with the make up look, i kept messing it up. Heres the snake without the eye look. its kind of a fail, but ill show it just because.

Didnt turn out the way i wanted but i might redoing it at another date. Something different then i usually do and never seen someone do this either. It looked better in my mind. haha

Decided to make a funny face haha

Items Used:

*Elf 100 Pc Palette(can find at ELF or target/kmart/wamart)

*TBN Shadow Blanc ($2)

*Elf Studio Cream Liner in Black ($3)

*Maybelline Mascara

*Started by using NYX HD Primer

*Applied TBN Blanc from Brow to Crease.

*Applied lighter green shade to lid and to inner corner of lower lashline.

*applied the darker green to crease and rounding out to lower lashline.

*applied the dark silver shade to upper crease and rounding out to bottom lashes.

*Lined eyes with Elf Studio Liner

*Then Mascara

Let Me Know What You Think!! Thanks for Stopping By! :)
