Purple Smoke

I did a quick smokey purple look on Monday before I went out shopping. My work every few months gives us a double discount. Us Ross workers go crazy during this time. Ive actually was only looking for work clothes, but I did get me a cute Hello Kitty Bag!! This wasnt applied perfectly since I was in a hurry. Did my whole face and eye makeup in like 20 minutes. Then I quickly snapped some pics and only had a few that came out.

I used some BFTE colors again. Ive been neglecting my body needs lately and using my BFTE colors. They have such a wide selection of colors from matte to shimmer to satin to duo chromes and every color you could probably think of. Every week they have a color of the week. For $6.00 ($10 after shipping)you get a full size of COTW and then you get to choose 3 samples of your choice (each sample is regularly $2.00). Ive been liking the COTWs lately so I keep purchasing.

Cheshire Cat/VDay Look

I decided to use some of my new colors that I got from BFTE Cosmetics. I originally did this look on Tuesday. But I didnt like how it turned out. I then saw that Easymakeup makeupblog on FB had some Cut Crease Picture Tutorials. I used it yesterday and decided to recreate my tuesday look using the same tutorial.

The colors reminded me of Valentine's Day. Vday is one of my favorite Holidays. Probably because of the colors, hearts, love, etc... I love romantic stuff. I just find it to be so cute. :) I love chick flicks and of course my hubby hates them. I love Pretty Woman, The Notebook, Grease, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Clueless, Dear John, Bridgit Jones's Diary, Sweet Home Alabama, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Breakfast at Tiffanys, When Harry Met Sally, Devil Wears Prada, etc...

Next month Ill start having a chick flick marathon. Have a favorite girl movie you love to watch?? I have some I havent watched in a few years like Legally Blonde, 27 Dresses, The Notebook, A Walk to Remember, and many more.

2 people at work today said my look reminded them of my favorite character from Alice in Wonderland, the Cheshire Cat.

This is the tutorial I used to create this look. I didnt follow it completely but I did the basics. :)

Sorry if my pictures above are dark. Everytime I use the flash im whited out in the picture. I like that this camera includes a Beauty Shot setting which will be good for full face pics once I get the settings right.

BFTE Sample Sale Haul

Last weekend BFTE Cosmetics was having a sale on their samples. Instead of being $2, they were only a dollar. I wasnt at home to have my list of colors I wanted. These were just colors I saw I liked while looking through the colors on my kindle. I thought I ordered a couple more but I guess not.

Some of the colors I got were the Pro Colors. (Okul, Kraz, and Hydrobius).  Pro Colors differ from BFTE's normal line because they are made with dyes, silicones, waxes, etc. which are supposed to make them more pigmented, vibrant, and blendable. They cost the same as normal eyeshadows: $6.50 for full size and $2.00 for sample jars.

Each jar I believe has 1/4 a tsp of product. (This is pretty standard for indy brand samples)

These give you an idea of the amount of product that can come in them.
I actually asked about how much product should be in the samples. The lovely Crystal gave me this reply:

"We measure each color using a scoop. Some colors are lighter and do not pack down in the scoop like others. We also had to use a different type of jar to fill some orders. The newer jars make it appear that there is less in the jar."

Hydrobius (Pro Color): Bright Medium Blue with Shimmer

This pic was blurry. :/ I  need to retake it.

Midnight KissesDeep blue-toned purple with subtle pink shimmer.

My first couple pics are blurry. :/

Big EgoRich, deep dark royal purple with subtle shimmer.

IsisBlackened blood red, with red-bronze under tones.

Blue Bird: Very Bright Blue

Meteor Shower: Grayish Black with rainbow sparkles. This is the one I most excited to try out. Its gorgeous!! <3 Im going to have to order a full size.

PassionBright mid-tone pink with slight blue-violet sheen.

Kraz (Pro Color): Shimmery Kelly Green (This is on the website as Kras)

Walking on Water: Teal blue with multi-colored sparkles. I've seen many looks posted using this color. I finally have a sample, and its gorgeous!!

Okul (Pro Color): a sunny yellow with shimmer.

I really need to retake pics in the daylight. I took all these pics with the bad lighting in my apt.

I cant wait to play with these. I already have an idea in mind for isis, midnight kisses, meteor shower, and passion. :)
