Princess Lolly Inspired Eye Look

I decided to enter my first makeup contest. The theme is candy. I originally tried doing a gumdrop look but didnt turn out very good. When I was looking for pictures of gum drops I had came across this picture of Princess Lolly. So I decided to test out some artistic skills, to see if I could draw her on my eye. This was extremely hard to do. My eyeliner pen wasn't wanting to work to draw. I went through a lot of q tips and wasnt til i took pics I saw i had left remnants of trying to clean the look up. Oh well, I at least tried. This isnt something I normally do, and I think it came out ok for being my first time, and I only did this look once. I had to alter the dress some once i started taking pics because it looked funky.



So I had to fix it and I dont know what I was thinking about some of the glitter.

I must have not liked it very much. lol I think my eye kept watering as usual and I think I might have not liked how high up my crease make up went. Anyways.. The Body Needs Christmas EOTD - Christmas Cheer

Anybody in the Christmas Spirit yet. I Hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving. Now its time for Christmas Lights, Shopping, Christmas Goodie Baking (No Bake Cookies, yum!), Hot Cocoa, Caroling, etc.... I love Christmas, but working retail kind of ruins it for me. Though since I've been working in the stock room it hasnt been that bad. This year for christmas they have a calendar for December, where each day is different. We get a Ugly Christmas Sweater Day, Holiday Hat Day, Warm and Fuzzy Sweater Day, Hot Cocoa Day, Gift Exchange, etc.. So thats kind of exciting for work. I still need to goto walmart to buy my little christmas tree I want.

The Body Needs Haul - Christmas Colors

TBN had a sale for Veteran's day a couple weeks ago, so I decided to pick up some christmas colors. I also got the pink I have been wanting from them as well. I thought I had ordered 24K Gold with this order but I hadnt so I ordered it with my Black Friday order.

Shamrock: Bright Green Pearl (Jungle Green)
Notes: I found this can apply dark and kind of sheer. It worked better to pat this color onto your eye then sweeping it on. I recommend using a base before applying this color. It might work better with a mixing medium (I just ordered one from BFTE). 




Green Glitter: Sparkling Green EYE SAFE Glitter
Notes: I thought this applied well with my LA Splash Shadow/Glitter Primer. To get a more even coverage I use a brush like the Soho Smudge Brush (September Glam Bag). 




Cherry Blossom: Soft, Muted Baby Pink Frost
Notes: I havent used this shadow on my eyes yet, but can't wait too!! It reminds me of the Flirt! shadow Birthday Cake I used to wear all the time a few years ago. I used it til it was gone and since I never goto Kohl's I never replaced it. 




Metallic Merlot: Bright Burgundy Shine (Wine).
Notes: This is a nice medium shiny red shade. They suggest using this one as a lip color. Ill test it out and add a swatch. It would make a good color for Gryffindor Eye Looks. 




Smoked Pink: Smokey Grey with a Flash of Pink
Notes: This one looked almost exactly like Smoked Silver when swatching. I'm not for sure how it looks applied to the eye because I've yet to use it. I got it to use with some of my pink shades like Princess Pink.




Smoked Silver: Smokey Grey with a Flash of Silver (Steel gray with silver shimmer)
Notes: This shade applied to the eyes kind of paleish. I find that it works best using a darker color underneath. I found Steal the Night worked good. This has a lot of Silver Shimmer in it.



Supernova: Medium Teal Blue with High Shimmer Gold
Notes: Forgot to take picture of the shadow. I will update it later. This color was this past month's 1 cent special. To bring out the duochrome, apply it over a black base. (NYX Black Bean, UD Zero/Perversion, Wet n Wild Coloricon Black Pencil work good)

My Glam Bag November 2012 - Party Perfect

I tried finding this on their website but all I found was just an eyeliner not the intense one.

Thoughts: I was kind of meh on the color collection. Im not a gold nail polish color. You can tell in the pic it doesnt go with my skintone. I prefer silver. :p Black liner would have been better than brown since I only on a very rare occassion use brown. Brown shades make me look older so I usually stay clear of them. Wont see much use out of the brow gel either. The only thing I will end up using out of the whole bag is the lip gloss. I wont complain about getting only makeup products though. :p
