Cosmetic Arts Nail Polish

So once in awhile we get a display of these nail polishes at work, and each polish is only $1.99. They come in a assortment of colors. Me and the other girls at my work always go crazy when these come in. We all seem to like bright colors, and they give us quite a few colors to choose from. The sad part about when we get these polishes are that 9 out of 10 times, polishes arrive to us broken. We had a whole display broken and dried on a box, with only a handful of polishes that were saleable. I happened to pick up 2 of them today. After i was applying them, they made me think of toy story and i also realized i had a buzzlight year purple around here somewheres. Maybe i can try to be creative and come up with a toy story buzz lightyear nail design :)

 

I have tried googling about this line before, and not much comes up. I saw that these polishes come from Fred Meyer's?? I've never been to one of these stores though. Also when we get np at ross, none of the colors come labelled on them, so im not for sure what the colors are called.

 

Its a lime green, but when it dries its darker then the color in the bottle. The color to me looks like the Toy Story Army Men Gummies lol I really like it though. I wish i had more info about these polishes and their names. These set and dry within a couple minutes. I always put a topcoat on though to dry them a little quicker becomes im a fidgeter.

 

This blue is act5ually a little darker then in this pic as well. It goes on tabout that color but dries to a darker azure blue color.

I have more of these polishes and can swatch some more at a later time. I just wanted to share the 2 pretty colors i found today that i had to have. :)

Wet and Wild Coloricon Trios - Walking on Eggshells, Cool as a Cucumber, I Dream of Greenie, and Spoiled Brat

I picked up spoiled brat awhile ago, along with 2 of the 8 palette ones(which i can review and swtch later). I picked up I DREAM OF GREENIE last week from walgreens. A week before that i picked up COOL AS A CUCUMBER and WALKING ON EGGSHELLS from Big Lots. The BL next to my work is moving to the other side of us into a bigger building and had the whole store on sale. This past weekend it was 50% off.  I really love these color icon palettes. They are such a bargain at $1.99 to $2.99 depending on where you go. The 8 palettes are $5.99?? I think. Im waiting for walgreens to have another wet and wild sale(50% off) so i can buy the blue 8 palette. I bought the other 2 during their last sale. They are very pigmented, and with primer cant last even through working in a stock room with no ac or fan.

The I Dream of Greenie has a lime green, sea foam green, and then a light minty type green. When applied i think of a peacock. Im sure a blue eye liner would go really well.

I applied the shadows over a base of NYX Milk Jumbo Pencil to make the colors pop more. I also used Revlon Liquid Eye Liner Pen and Loreal's Telescopic Waterproof Mascara.

 

Spoiled Brat has  a hot pink color for the lid, a sparkly black for the crease, and a silver for the highlight.

My brush didnt seem to be working with me while trying to apply the black.. It usually applies better. The thing with the black is also you want to make sure to tap off your brush, well really most of these colors because you most likely will pick up more shadow then you had planned too. So unless you want black speckles on your face(idk maybe you do lol ;)), i would tap or blow on the brush or applicator to get the excess off. I like to wear this trio when im going out on a friday or saturday night.

I believed i used Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stain in Flame and MAC's Hello Kitty Tippy Blush. My skin has looked awful lately and i dont know why :(

The colors in the WALKING ON EGGSHELLS make me think leopard print and colors Kim Kardashian would wear. Theres a nice peachy color for the eye lid, a milk chocolate brown for the lid, and shimmery cream color for the highlight. The COOL AS A CUCUMBER trio consists of a dark forest green for the lids, a deep purple for the crease, and a pale shimmery spring green for the lid.

I decided to add in some leopard spots using a liquid eye liner pen, though i could have drawn them a lot better... I quickly did it. I also used UD 24/7 Eye Liner in Whiskey for my lower lashline and Revlon Colorstay Black Eye Liner on upper lashline.

I had a hard time trying to get the colors to show up the way they look IRL, but it wasn't happening unfortunately :/ I did however find that the green was kind of hard to apply. You definitely need a nrush for the purple to get it to show up, as well as the green.

I found that cool as a cucumber was my least favorite of the bunch. The colors make me think of UD shadows i have though. If you find my posting for Alice and Wonderland's Caterpillar look, these are the colors they remind me of.

Color Club Wicked Sweet

I found these last month at work(Ross) during our double discount. So i got 40% off

of $7.99. :D I love these polishes. I've been a fan of neon color np since i was a little girl using

them in the early nineties. I used to take my sisters all the time. lol Ive noticed that neon colors are

trying to make a come back. I have even bought a neon pink and orange shirt, almost got the lime and

yellow one as well.

 

Wicked Sweet is the name of this blue. It has a blueberry scent. Smells yummy.

Its a jelly blue, and in the pic i have 3 coats.

 

Yum Gum is a neon pastel baby pink. Its a cream, and smells like super

bubble bubble gum. This is one of my favorite colors of the bunch. It is very opaque.

If you apply it just right, it could take just 1 coat. I did 2 coats for the picture. My index finger

however has only 1 coat.

Gimme a Grape Big Kiss is a bright purple thats scented like grape koolaid. Its an ok scent.. I love grapes but not a big fan of the grape scent.

The Lime Starts here is a very bright Lime Green. The first coat comes out streaky, so you will need at least 2 or 3 coats to get the color you see in the bottle. Its supposed to have a lime scent, but to me it has more of a limei-sh, watermelon-ish scent. I think this is my favorite color of the collection. I think this color when i wear it makes my dry hands look younger, not so much in this pic though :p

I couldnt seem to be able to capture the way the color actually looks. Its a bright magenta color, but deeper then what the pic shows.  It smells like candy to me, not necessarily like raspberry though.

I Always Get My Man-Darin is a light vivid orange color with a green duochrome. It smells like a dreamiscle to me., Orange with Vanilla. I really like this scent. Makes me want to drink a orange julius or have a Dreamsicle popsicle. The orange actually reminds me of one of those popsicles.

Get Your Lem-On is a highlighter yellow with a green duochrome. To me it has a strong lemon scent, and i wore this a couple weeks ago and my husband asked what stinks. I asked him if it was my fingernails and put my fingers to his nose and he immediately yelled at me to get them away lol I love the color though. Its definitely a color you have to build up to get the color like in the bottle. I did 3 coats for the pictures.

 

Overall i really like the colors in this collection. The scents are hit and miss for me. If you put a top coat on, you can still smell the scent through it, but the scent fades away after a couple days. I think its a good deal if you find it at ross. $7.99 is a really good deal for 7 np. Now a days thats a price to buy just 1 good polish. These scented polishes just make me reminisce of my middle school days using clear polishes that dried to smell like ck one, ck be, lucky perfume, and stuff like that.

Small Sally's Beauty Secret Hall

Its been forever since i made a post on here... I went to sally's today to browse and finally got me a top coat since some of my favorite colors stain my nails like, ZOYA CHARLA. I also they had the 16 oz bottle of np remover on sale for $2.49, which is not bad at all for that amount of remover. I also picked up some polish thinner for $3.49. I got them for my crackle polishes, because they all seem to have thickened. :/

The Np remover actually doesnt smell that bad. Its a pretty good np remover as well.
